Location: The airport is 13 miles (22 miles) northwest of Lagos.Time: Local time is GMT +1.Contacts: Tel: +234 (0)1 480 5580, +234 (0)1 493 3385Transfer between terminals: The terminals are within easy walking distance of each other.Transfer to the city: Yellow taxis are available outside the terminal. It is wise to negotiate a fee before departure, around NGN 5000. Larger hotels have a shuttle bus meeting all international flights. Visitors should not use public transport from the airport, and should ideally arrange to be met.Car rental: Avis, Hertz and Planet Car have offices at the airport.Facilities: The airport facilities include a restaurant, bank, cafe, shops and a post office. Don't expect luxury however, the air-conditioning rarely works, there are regular power cuts and the baggage handling system is chaotic. Airport security is also lacking, and pickpockets are common.Parking: Departure Tax: None.
